We are so sad that this is our last day! We have our last group dinner tonight, and then we will be heading home. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website during this wonderful journey!
Today, we presented our stories to our classmates, faculty, and Mejdi Tour Guides. We also went to the beach and packed for our last day in Israel.
We finished up our homework, listened to a speaker from the T’ruah Program (an organization that empowers American rabbis to advocate for human rights), and ate far too much good food.
Today was Shabbat, so some of us went to a morning synagogue service. We spent the rest of the day doing homework and relaxing at the beach.
We visited Golan Heights, which borders Syria. During this adventure, we made an appearance at a Druze village and ate a delectable, authentic Lebanese meal, cooked by a Druze woman, Soaad (perhaps the best meal we have had during the entire program). Then, we ventured to Mt. Bental and learned more about the Yom Kippur War.
